Casa do Forno (Oven House)

The Casa do Forno is on the main street that connects the bridge over the Ribeira da Galega to the spring of Agua Formosa. This house has an oven in front with a small terrace perfect for a barbecue (shared with the three houses).

In addition to the thick walls of clay and shale,
the house has well insulated doors and windows. The house is divided into two
floors. At the ground floor there is a large living space with a kitchen. The floor
is slate tiling (replica) with under-floor heating. It opens onto a terrace
with a wooden deck where you can have a bite in the shade of a “strawberry” vine
trellis. This terrace lies beside a small stream with a babbling waterfall. Adjacent
is an irrigated garden. Upstairs, which can be accessed either by internal stairs
or directly from the street is a suite with a canopy bed and a living room with
fireplace and sofa bed.
